Once, a buddy of mine, a photographer, rather lost, nostalgic of the Sixties, a rather solitary figure, shooting with his LEICA... taught me that the word photography, originates from Greece and means: writing with light. I found this remarkable. As a homage to him, I intended to realize a somewhat extraordinary photograph, having in my mind his love for life: a broken bulb which continues to give light all the same. To complicate the matter, I set everything on crumpled tin foil. That cost us 17 photographs, the lights fused 17 times, for only one successful shot. You only live once too!
