Each year, Danielle PAULY and the Maugein accordions, publish a promotional series of postcards. In 1998, Danielle, French ambassador of music, asked me to make her portrait. I listened to her last album, I found it " fantastic " (compliments help to maintain good professional relationships!). In fact, it was DIVINE music which deserved to present the singer as a DIVA! The music? a mixture of traditional and modern. Interpreted by an artist as talented in traditional repertoire as in tango. I decided to realize a photograph in a traditional-contemporary style. I emphasized the relationship between the colours of her face and the colour of the bellows of her accordion (film EPN of Kodak perfect for a good result in catching the warm and pleasant aspect of the skin). The right hand balances the photograph and the blue graded background, enhancing her skin, brings out the direction of her glance towards the light. Not to make a back-light gives a less conventional result and highlights more the name Danielle PAULY, with the same complexion as its skin. She was very happy with the result!
